By accessing or using Whisper (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by the following terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Whisper is an anonymous chatroom that assigns each user a unique, never‑reused name and avatar. Messages are visible to all participants in the same room. Push notifications are optional and can be enabled only with your permission.

3. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or to transmit illegal content.
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users.
• Post spam, malware, or any harmful links.
• Impersonate any person, entity, or falsely state your affiliation.
• Attempt to bypass any access restrictions or interfere with the operation of the Service.

We reserve the right to remove any content and block access at our sole discretion.

4. Privacy & Data Collection

Whisper collects the following information:

• Messages – only the 500 most recent messages are stored within our server.
• Unique user ID – generated and stored in your browser’s local storage to preserve your name and avatar across sessions.

We do not sell or share personal data with third parties. By using the Service, you consent to this collection and processing.

5. No Guarantee of Anonymity

While Whisper does not require registration and assigns random names, we cannot guarantee absolute anonymity against sophisticated adversaries or law enforcement requests.

6. Age Restriction

The Service is not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). By using Whisper, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error‑free. Use at your own risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Whisper and its operator(s) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use or inability to use the Service.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately for violation of these Terms or for any other reason without prior notice.
